They were confused in their early days, but now they have developed a network that shares a common girl and some understanding. Their understanding becomes a good chemistry between them, which the Emperor is not happy to learn about and is losing sleep. It’s his accountability that he focused on his prostitute and caused her trouble to begin with.
But that ship was put out to sea, and the Emperor paid for it with peace of mind, something he had never needed. And so begins the arc of the Emperor’s confusion and desire to be favored by his Empress. However, getting his attention will take a lot, which won’t be easily given to his opponents.

It is anticipated that in chapter 25 of the long series, the Emperor will have to rely on social norms to help him and benefit from the Empress’ argument. The man is getting restless as the Empress loses her grip on him. He doesn’t know how to deal with it. Although he’s never taken the time to learn about it, understandably, he doesn’t know how to deal with it.
But what adds salt to her wounds is the Duke, who is close to the Empress and spends a lot of time with her. The Emperor did not think that his reputation would be at risk if he ignored the Empress too much. This shows that he was way over his head when he married her and considered her disposable.
